SanDisk 32GB MicroSDHC Card (SDSDQ-032G-A11M, US Retail Package)

I just installed SanDisk 32GB MicroSDHC Card (SDSDQ-032G-A11M, US Retail Package). Purchased the card from Amazon.com with Amazon as the seller. The price was $10 more than other sellers, but I bought it from Amazon for two reasons. First, I know I can return it if it doesn't work. Second, the card has been out of stock from Amazon for a couple of weeks, so I was confident that I would get a Class 4 card that was recently manufactured, not a Class 2 card that had been in inventory for months. Well, lucky me, I did receive a Class 4 card today.

Previously, I owned a 30GB ZuneHD. It was probably my favorite appliance, over my lappie and desktop. I used it everyday and everywhere. My new Samsung Focus i917 was hard to adjust to, as 8GB is not enough space after being used to the ZuneHD. So, I am risking it and trying the microSDHC card.

Based on some other reviews here I wanted to avoid BlueProton and tried to purchase through seller "Everything But Stromboli" but at the time it was not available through that store. I saw in the merchant feedback section that BlueProton had received some good reviews in recent days for this item so I went ahead and ordered through BlueProton/Fulfilled by Amazon.

I received it very fast, earlier than estimated, and it appeared to be a genuine unopened SanDisk-branded cardboard/blister pack display item with the small plastic reuseable snap container (jewel case) holding the card, and "SanDisk" is clearly printed on the card itself. As described, this pkg contained only the card - no USB adapter, lanyard, etc., which I didn't want anyway, but when I ordered last week some of those extras were available free via BlueProton special offers if you wanted them.

I received a class 2 Micro SD card instead of the class 4 Micro SD card shown in the Blue Proton add. I tried to contact Blue Proton for a refund or the correct product but they did not reply.

Blue Proton claims the fault lies with San Disk part number that refers to both class 2 and class 4 Micro SD cards. There is no excuse for knowingly deceiving a customer even if the cause lies elsewhere. Blue Photon should change their add to show the class 2 chip if that is what they will likely ship.
