While both SSDs look and feel quite similar when it comes to their design, the T5 is a bit smaller and lighter than the T7. Another difference is that there’s also a touch variant of the T7 that features a square-shaped fingerprint reader with a blue ‘Motion LED’ to indicate the status of the SSD. When it comes to the build and construction, the Samsung T5 comes with an aluminum shell paired with plastic panels on the side. The T7, on the other hand, features an all-aluminum finish.
